The former site of Uncle B’s BBQ has a new occupant. Root Down Brewing Company will reopen the inside bar under the temporary name The TBD Bar. The announcement came just 2 weeks after the news of Uncle B’s closure. Before Uncle B’s closed, the brewing company had an existing partnership with the neighborhood BBQ spot.

After the sad news of Uncle B’s closure, the community raised questions as to what is going to replace the southern-style restaurant. Root Down Biergarten’s Facebook page announced that it passed inspection and will provide patrons with a new food menu. The brewing company expressed excitement to serve foodies at The TBD Bar.

The TBD Bar is giving visitors a sneak peek on Friday, December 9. The doors will open at 4:00 p.m. and live music starts at 6:00 p.m. The one-time opening will be followed by a grand opening on Wednesday, December 14. Additionally, the announcement states that the outdoor Biergarten will not be affected by TBD.

The Root Down Biergarten located at 425 Bridge Street gives customers a chance to dine outside and listen to live music. The space is one of the largest outdoor spots to dine and drink in Phoenixville. You can bring your dogs and enjoy the warm weather at this open-air experience.

On another note, Root Down Brewing Company’s main location resides less than a half mile away on North Main Street in downtown Phoenixville. A few years ago, the brewery extended its services to 425 Bridge Street with a satellite license to serve its beer to customers of the former resident–Uncle B’s BBQ.
