Rivertown taps - Phoenixville Bar

By now, you probably noticed the temporary sign draped over the door at 226 Bridge Street. The green and blue banner brands the slogan “A fresh take on the American bar and restaurant.” For foodies, it’s the future home of Rivertown Taps. The construction of the new bar and restaurant spark the interest of passersby and food connoisseurs. Bizcolumnist.com just received the latest news about what’s coming to Phoenixville’s downtown food scene.

Rivertown Taps

If you’re clamoring for information, here you go. The bar and restaurant will feature a self-pour tap wall with open seating and a signature “chef’s table” bar area (What’s a Chef’s Table?). Rivertown Taps is tapping into local sources for its ingredients and keeping things fresh for each season.

The owners of Rivertown Taps come from a history of working in restaurants.

It’s a family-owned business by Lewis Leiterman, his fiancé Tess Strayer, and her parents, Gary and Sharon. Lewis’ culinary journey began early at 14 years old when he worked as a dishwasher to help support his family. There were life-changing influences along the way, including two appearances–and a win–on Guy Fierri’s Food Network show Guy’s Grocery Games!

Through hard work, inspiration, and amazing partnerships, Rivertown Taps is set to open in November 2022.

Lewis is looking forward to bringing his experience to Phoenixville.

“Our overall vision is to provide very creative food and drink that is elevated but approachable for every budget and palate. The reason we chose to open in Phoenixville (in addition to my fiancé growing up down here) is because of the genuine sense of community and camaraderie from the town and fellow small business owners. We are incredibly excited to be a part of this town. Our goal is to make every guest leave happier than when they came in.”
