The weekends are about to be bustling with shoppers in the quaint borough of Royersford, Pennsylvania. The town of approximately 5,000 people is home to scenes from The Blob, and shares the Schuylkill River with its neighbor–Spring City. The rustic town has an array of parks, boutiques, and community events for visitors.

If you’re looking to visit, brew your coffee, grab your reusable bags, and get ready to shop because this spring the Royersford Farmers Market opens.

The Royersford Farmers Market

Every Saturday, from May until November, you can browse the local vendors at the farmers market. The market will be located at the corner of 2nd Avenue and Arch Street across from Victory Park.

According to royersfordrecreation.com, the market’s mission is “to provide the residents and neighbors of Royersford with an accessible and welcoming market offering locally-sourced and crafted goods by farmers, artisans, and entrepreneurs from the greater Royersford area.

Royersford Councilman Ryan Conroy said on Instagram, “Can’t believe we started talking about this a year ago for real. Now, we have awesome vendors already lined up, and we’ll be open for business in May!”

In the neighboring town of Phoenixville, a farmers market occurs every Saturday during the warmer months. The market exudes the same spirit of locally-sourced food and goods. If you were traveling from Royersford to Phoenixville, you’ll now have a chance to shop locally in your backyard.

If you’re interested in being a vendor at the farmers market, applications are open until February 24. You can apply at royersfordrecreation.com.
