You may know the natural, organic grocery chain Kimberton Whole Foods. The Kimberton-based grocery chain is expanding its footprint further into the Reading, PA, area. According to an Instagram post, the opening for the Wyomissing location is slated for October 31.

The West Reading area is becoming a destination for foodies around South East PA. Equipped with a plethora of restaurants and breweries, Penn Avenue in West Reading is the result of revitalization. It makes sense that Kimberton Whole Foods had its target set for Wyomissing.

The newest location sits at The Knitting Mills, which is a revamped hotspot for restaurants and bars. The ex-industrial buildings were once the Berkshire Knitting Mills and employed many of Berks county’s ancestors. After the knitting mills closed, the Vanity Fair Outlets took residency in the same structures that housed its prior occupant.

Today, The Knitting Mills is a trendy place for foodies to take well-crafted Instagram photos. The mills feature other restaurants like B2 Bistro and another familiar brand–Sly Fox Brewing Company

As for the grocery chain, the location at 810 Knitting Mills Way has a lot of potential for the residents of Berks County.

A grand opening weekend and ribbon-cutting are set for the weekend of November 11-13. According to the post, “There will be giveaways, samples, special promotions, and more.”

KWF also has a fantastic cafe that aims to provide customers with organic and healthy options. As another bonus, you do not get charged for almond milk or oat milk like the other big brands, which is why small grocery chains like Kimberton Whole Foods have carved a niche into the community.
