One of the Best Books on Cryptocurrency
The main reason I started my blog is that I love to read about business. Processes, entrepreneurs, scandals, you name it—I’ll read it. It’s fascinating to learn about things happening around me. Whether it’s an operational flow or a marketing plan that’s changed culture, I’m enthralled with business conversation starters. With that said, a rising water-cooler topic is cryptocurrency. Recently, I finished one of the best books on cryptocurrency.
The world isn’t slowing down with technology. Everybody is fighting for their slice of the pie in the modern-day gold rush of cryptocurrency. I’ve had positions in crypto since 2015, and we’re starting to see society coming around on blockchain technology.
Everybody wants to know more about cryptocurrency, but where do you start? My recommendation is one book. This book is not a lecture on technology, but a drama that teaches you the origin, the key players, and the technology behind crypto.
“Bitcoin Billionaires”
I found this book while sifting through piles of junk at ollies. Little did I know, it was written by the same author that penned the novel “The Accidental Billionaires: The Founding of Facebook, a Tale of Sex, Money, Genius, and Betrayal,” which is also known as the film, The Social Network.
The Winklevoss twins, the antagonists in The Social Network, are the main protagonists of this story. It follows their journey into discovering Bitcoin and growing into cryptocurrency billionaires.
Ben Mezrich does a fantastic job of describing the beginning stages of blockchain technology. Yet, paralleling other Bitcoin moguls as they work towards changing the future of financial transactions.
The rise and fall of early adopters make for a compelling story. However, it’s easy to get lost in books with tech jargon but this novel does not disappoint.
